The site is in Embo, 2 miles north of Dornoch. If you get a caravan on the edge of the park facing the sea, you won't get a better view. We've visited many times and the caravans have always been clean and mostly in good order. We've never used the entertainment, so can't comment on that.Dornoch has a small Co-op and a few restaurants and cafes. Larger supermarkets are in Tain, 12 miles away.I can recommend the Trentham Hotel for a good, reasonably priced meal.

We wanted to do the NC500, without having to move daily around, so we booked a caravan here. The caravan was spotless and with a sea view. This site was within 60 to 70 miles of all the place to visit. Then back to the heated caravan with comfy beds every night. We thought this was the best way to do the NC500.

We have just left here after a short break booked through a Sun Holiday, which frankly you never know quite what to expect, however we don't use the parks like many others. For us they are a bed for the night to go and explore the area so our needs may differ from yours.Check-in was quick and easy, our caravan was right next to the shop and the entertainment which during high season may have been a problem but at the end of season with not-many people about it wasn't an issue at all.The caravan was the accessible one and a little tired - the shower didn't look in great repair, the curtains kept falling off the rails and the front door didn't fit properly - the seals were loose and as it has dropped there was a gap in the top where you could see daylight. Otherwise it was really spacious, had all we needed and was more than enough for us. It was clean and tidy - the issues I've mentioned were not awful and did not ruin our visit in any way.We ate in the bar regularly and the food was always really nice. Surprisingly nice actually. Highly recommend eating in there.Staff were always friendly and happy to see you.We had an issue that was required to report to security, they were super helpful and took it all seriously (our neighbours left their dog locked in crying for hours and hours next door which was distressing to listen to).The only issue we did have was heading in for brunch one day. Breakfast finishes at 11.30am and lunch is advertised from 11.30am -at 11.50am we were refused food as lunch hadn't started yet and breakfast had over run. So we had no choice but to leave site as we couldn't get fed. Quite disappointing - if it's advertised as such we shouldn't have experienced this.On our last night they had obviously come to the end of season deliveries and had run out of carling, run out of chicken, run out of Coors.... But hey ho, you just make different choices I guess. We weren't overly bothered. We didn't use the pool, the entertainment or any other facilities/activities as we went out to John O Groats and Dunrobin Castle instead of staying on site. The site is on the beach - perfect when the weather is nice, though apart from to look we didn't go down there.Shop has everything you may need and is fully equipped.Overall a really nice site and a really nice break for us. You could do an awful lot worse than book here and we would absolutely book to stay here again.

We went end of season but the staff were still cheerful and friendly. We were a little disappointed with the caravan we rented. It was slightly dusty and the carpet was very damp but the kitchen and bathroom were spotless. The site is nicely set out with plenty of amenities, the food in the Coast restaurant was good but the Fish and Chippery was a little disappointing. Plenty to do for the whole family and the staff are just lovely.

Stayed three nights with all the family, had booked two caravansBoth caravans had a strong smell but we didn’t mind thatOne caravan was lovely and clean the other looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, sand and dog hairs all over couch. Every seat in the caravan has marks and stains on them as did the carpets. We had no cleaning appliances so luckily the other caravan had a hoover so we used that for floors and couch. There were 6 in each of the caravans, yet outside were only 4 seats in one caravan and two seats outside the other so we couldn’t all sit together outsideAlso flying fox was broken so you should really take photo down on your website as the kids were looking forward to that

Park is very much in need of refurbishing for the campers that stay not so much the park homes but the camping facilities ie wash facilities and toilets are very run down and poorly maintained (cleaning) have been here 5 times and this visit was the worst of all. Shame used to be a nice place to stay.😢

We stayed here last weekend for 3 nights as we wanted to travel upto John O'Groats and was the perfect base for us to do so with us having the little one. Check in was supposed to be 4pm but we didn't arrive until 5pm for us to be told the caravan wasn't ready and they would call us when it was ready. We waited around 2 hours with no call so went back to reception to be told it was actually ready at 5:30 but they had forgot to phone and let us know. Our caravan was very spacious but very dirty and had a very strong smell that we couldn't get rid of so had to buy some air freshner (which was difficult to find as there are no local shops apart from a really expensive co-op about 10/15 mins away) we had to keep all windows and doors open to try air it out. There was hair all over the double bed and the shower was filthy. Both toilets absolutely stunk of urine. The floors looked like they hadn't been hoovered or mopped and the oven wasn't clean. The caravans don't have any toilet roll and there was no dish towels or towels or extra bedding. Despite this, everything else was brilliant though, the staff and the park itself was great. There's a lovely park and we were right beside the beach. The evening entertainment was good too and has alot on at night.

Stayed here for a few nights with my assistance dog. For most of our time, we had no issues at all. There is a shop on sight which she was welcomed into, the staff at the bar either didn't notice or didn't care (as they should) however the 'coast' restaurant ruined it. We were welcomed in and told we could sit anywhere until the staff noticed I had an assistance dog with me. We were told no dogs were allowed and we would have to sit in a different part. We informed the staff member she was a fully trained assistance dog but she said even so, no dogs at all. We reluctantly went into this seperate area which was freezing, no one around and not somewhere we wanted to spend our evening. We then noticed a sign that said "assistance dogs only" so went back inside and confronted the staff, where they allowed us to sit in the main restaurant. Overall it was a lovely stay and I can't complain. Staff need more training on the laws though.

I am very disappointed with the resort. Looks tired and in need of some TLC. From a camping perspective, toilet blocks weren't great and were in dire need of cleaning. Some staff training is also needed as 5 out of the 10 days I was there I was overcharged for meals in both eateries!!Note that if you take dogs..ticks are rife up there.

We paid a significant premium to stay here because our kids were really keen to use the swimming pool. We arrived on a Monday, and had booked for a few nights. On arrival we were told the next available slot for swimming was Saturday, 5 days away. So we paid a lot of money to use a facility that was completely unusable for us and many other guests. Our kids were so upset as they had been really looking forward to it. The pool is only open from 9am till 2:45pm. If the park but guests first, they would simply open the pool for longer. If you can't book for 5 days, there is very clearly more demand than they can deal with, so open for longer. The toilet blocks had two out of four cubicles out of order. That is definitely the last time for us staying at a park dean.

Located on the east coast of the Highlands of Scotland lies this picturesque and peaceful site. With just a 5 minute drive you'll find yourself in Dornoch which is just as pleasant on the eye.The site has facilities such as laundry, arcades, entertainment centre, shop etc so much don't need to leave but i strongly suggest you explore the surroundings.Great beach with the ability to explore the rock pools, sun bathe, unwind and chill outExpect to see dolphins which are apparently frequent visitors but unfortunately for us they didn't make an appearance on our weeks stayDark skys also enable to see some wonderful nocturnal sights such as the vast starlit sky and if you're lucky, the northern lights tooThis place gets a well deserved 10/10

We enjoyed our stay overall at this Park Dean Resort. Our tent pitch was just off a rugged beach which provided us with great views.Satisfactory toilet/shower block which never got too busy.1-2 minute walk away from sandy beaches, which we and our dog loved! The restaraunt on site served good food - we had to sit in a dogs-allowed zone, which we understood.I've only given 4/5 stars because our pitch had a dog poo bag in it. I do appreciate that the staff can't patrol and clean the site 24/7 but it looked as if it had been there a few days.

I woke up and a guy dumped trash on me and my child got stuck in a washing machine, and a bear tried to eat me and my child at night, and don't go to fish & chippery and gave me alive flopping fish and once my tent blew away into the ocean, and I had to sleep in the arcade room, and when I was in the bar a guy throwed up on my drink, and a sea gul snatched my wig off my head.DONT COME HERE AT ALL!!!

We have been to Granny's Heilan Hame many times over the last 20 years. This was the first time the cleaning wasn’t up to scratch with a general bad smell in the caravan, the bathrooms smelling bad (urine smell), toilet seats not attached correctly. The bin hadn’t been emptied on our arrival in the kitchen area. The caravan was looking a bit tired too.One of the beds was bent in the middle, and my eldest daughter had to sleep at an angle all week. The food situation is odd in the showbar, they don’t take food orders anymore. When asked they said we could order at 9pm for food, when we tried all items were scored out on the app. The chippery next door is actually pretty good though. The biggest thing I was upset about was when we hired a pedal cart, the staff told us we would need to pay a £20 deposit. We didn’t have cash so was asked to leave something with the staff to ensure we returned with the cart. The website ordering form does not mention having to leave a deposit or item. It was my daughter's 12th birthday, and she wanted to go on the carts as part of her birthday; she was wearing a large “It’s my birthday button”. The staff took her badge as the “deposit”. It was a bit upsetting for a 12-year-old to give up her birthday badge, a really rotten move by GHH staff. My wife and I were quite angry about this. This is the first time we’ve been disappointed with our stay at GHH.

Just returned from a 2 day camping trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. Site facilities were fab and the pitch was in great condition. Had a lovely meal in the Coast restaurant which was reasonably priced and the service was great. Lovely welcome by the hard working staff and we felt comfortable from the get go. The beach was 2 mins away and was nice to have a nice walk. Will definitely return for longer with the grandkids next time because I felt it was safe enough to let them run around and have fun. Keep up the good work guys 🫶🏽💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Just spent 2 weeks here the 1st couple of days was okay from checking in to pitching up the tent, then all went down hill every single night from 10pm to early houpeople playing loud music, children screaming, playing in the football cage banging on caravans around the park there are security but rarely seen patrolling the park, the toilets and showers aren't enough for the amount of tents and families they cram in, and rarely cleaned multiple days without toilet paper so people using blue roll and blocking the toilets, people not cleaning up after there dogs, the site says dog friendly it isn't they can't go anywhere inside like in other park deans I've stayed at only one small area in the restaurant which you could never find a seat because people without dogs would take over brought this up to the bar staff and reception only to be told it's 1st come basis but surely the dog area is for dogs and owners to have a nice meal even if on multiple occasions we had to wait well over an hour, I won't be using park Dean again after this holiday, on the plus side the beach is amazing and I was able to watch the dolphins and the local base firing into the sea, Amy and Aiden from the restaurant bar staff are amazing always busy but still manage to smile and make polite conversation also the lady in the shop she is there open to close but always friendly and chatty even if she is about to calapse ( sorry didn't get her name) near by tain and dornoch are a nice venture out with some nice places to eat and sights to see.

When we arrived the key wasn't in the van and a quick look around soon revealed that it hadn't been cleaned. Thick dust, discarded food, crumbs on the floor and the toilet had a strong smell of urine. I contacted the reception and the accommodation manager came down and said they had a cleaner they were having issues with and her work should've been checked and she would now do the cleaning. We left her to get on and we met her later at the amusements where she gave us £25 vouchers and an apology. We returned to the van and the toilet still stank of urine and my wife found a toenail on the bed, food still down the back of the telly and dust thick under it, blood on a pillow and a big brown mark on a sheet (think it was an iron mark). The accommodation manager returned and cleaned again scrubbed the toilet and brought the maintenance guy with her who sorted out a couple of wee bits. As the week went on the smell returned in the toilet and we cleaned it ourselves but it seemed to be the steam from the shower that was lifting the smell from the nooks and crannies. When we left today we stripped the beds as we usually do and found blood on one of the other pillows. Every door had daylight around the frame due to perished rubber seal which wasn't too bad considering the weather. Barring that the views from the veranda over the water were stunning. The entertainment team were fantastic and had the kids bouncing all night and helped me choke down my £6.50 pint! We spent all day every day out doing things and had a great time and there's loads to do in the area if you are prepared to drive a bit. The nail in the coffin was our traditional last day of the holiday breakfast and the guy at the restaurant said they'd nae eggs and nae marshmallows for the deluxe hot chocolate.

Wow I'm so happy I choose this place for our first family holiday together, (been to others without family) the views where stunning the cavervan was slightly different to the picture but this is stated on website, there was lovely little touches in the cavervan, was clean and tidy (well done cleaners)I took my on cleaning products just incase these where only used to clean when I needed them and at the end,Just needed the sofa bedding which we got asking at the reception.Sarah life guard activity coach done amazing job during boat activities, I was nervous I was on my own with three wee ones, she was a super star in our eyes girl taught the girls how to ride a boat in a fun way lots of laughter. We booked to see milkshakes and young lady done amazing job on her own felt like she needed a extra member of staff to help out as there where quite a few families thereAlso booked to see characters after a wait we got a photo taken said they be back so we waited just for the character to walk away to go around site for a booked activity this needed more character interaction.Beach stunning views, lots of sea life found in rock pools and also a stretch of sandy beach the anchor is still there .Took out the bike ride and this was fun and will do again.Would of loved to of booked to stay longer, but wasn't affordable to make this happen. To make it better, having activities and times on a sheet to help plan what we going to do missed activities by not knowing what was going on.The only way to find out was on wall in reception so went to do this for Sunday and there was nothing on the board. A hard to remember everything.Maintenance guy was helping and polite and knew the local areas well.Shop keepers where lovely and polite tidy shop needed something to represent the local area there where magnets for the site but something with the Embo on would of gave a magical touch.Look forward to returning in the future

As a dog owner this campsite is very good being right on the beach, it is very clean and well kept even down to a road sweeper coming in. The only gripe is the indoor section that allows dog in is a very small corridor with four tables, as paying guests dogs deserve better treatment.

Our caravan was seaview with decking and outside seating area, right at Embo beach, the views are beautiful and has a relaxing atmosphere . Sarah the lifeguard at the pool was amazing with my autistic son, helping him to swim, staff all friendly and can't do enough for you, kids loved the beach, some amazing places in the surrounding area we went to The big burn walk in Golspie den where the waterfalls are, also visited Tarbat Ness Lighthouse, the Mermaid of the North, and Camore Wood walk, all nice scenic places and peaceful. Food in the restaurant at Grannie's Heilen Hame was lovely, shop had all we needed, arcade, golf adventure and the park onsite were all 2 minutes from our caravan. Can walk for miles on the beach also at the other side of Embo Pier. Would definitely recommend.

Caravan was quite dirty on arrival,, despite reporting that to staff who said they would send housekeeping to sort it out nothing happened!! Site looks great for families staying in caravans, but unfortunately just not set up for campers. Wasn't clear where to pitch tent initially - dune area at the site edge by old abandoned caravans and derelict old building. Shame to be far away from toilets and washing up area. On the plus side - showers lovely and hot, well stocked on site shop, beaches on the doorstep and Security very friendly!

The shop is excellent and prices are competitive on a par with Tesco and Asda and unlike some sites we’ve been to, they don’t take the Micky with the prices. Beach is lovely, perfect for a walk in the evening. We had a pizza from the takeaway, it was lovely and we’re fussy about pizza. Really friendly bloke. We where here 25 years ago and won’t to leave it as long🤣We had one criticism that needs addressing though. Cars and includes the staff, drive too fast around the site, as fast as a normal road which is concerning with kids playing. That does need addressing!

Lovely well kept site. Bar prices are a bit on the steep side. Avoid the fish and chippery on site. Prices are extortionate, and food is very poor, eg they use frozen chips and only use cod, not haddock.Nice location for touring from and you can do part of the NC500.

The caravan was clean but showing its age. It is very basic. So no hand soap, toilet paper, towels, extra bin liners or anything like that so come prepared. The Nisa store on site is very overpriced. The activities on offer were ok but nothing special. The food was nice and the staff nice too.

The caravan location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach. The cleanliness of the caravan was acceptable but definitely could have been better. The young man at reception that I spoke to a few times could not have been more helpful, however otherwise the service we received was pretty terrible.Reported a light not working in the caravan 3 times and it didn't get sorted. Hired a high chair for £15 and the gave us one with dried in food all over it - I would definitely expect the chairs to be cleaned between hires.

We attempted to check in at 4pm (check in time) to be told our caravan had not yet been cleaned and couldn't be told when it might be ready. An hour and a half later we checked in and were disappointed that there were no bin bags or toilet rolls in the caravan. I know you no longer get tea towels, washing up liquid or towels but didn't expect there is be no bin bags! There was a DVD player with no DVDs. TV was not watchable due to interference in signal. Internet signal would not support streaming to the kids. There was no guide to how the oven worked - the gas didn't seem to be connected. There qas no info how to work the heating so we played around with buttons as it wasnt on a timer or on for arrival and it was cold and wet when we were there. There was no hair dryer.Only 2 of us managed to book swimming prior to arriving on site and all other activity were booked up. We were able to go into Dornoch and purchase DVDs at the local charity shop so we made do. Our trip wasn't ruined as we made it great for the kids but we would've been as good camping at the campsite as it felt like we were camping but in someone's caravan but for 600 pound more. The caravan itself was clean but when there aren't basic amenities it's quite disappointing.

No facilities for dogs, other than a few tables in a small area. While I understand not allowing dogs in areas, if it’s a dog friendly park there should be more areas that dogs can go - such as an area in the entertainment venue. Bar however was very expensive so we weren’t too disappointed we couldn’t sit for long! Facilities in the caravan were ok - no trays etc for use in oven, and some of the kitchen utensils we had to clean before use. Chair missing from dining area - so only had 3 chairs for 8 guests…lightbulb missing in kitchen, and some of the spare sheets were marked. Caravan was very modern and lovely on first look - these little things just made the experience a little disappointing.

Loved it here so much. We hired a sea front caravan which was a bit more expensive but soo worth it. The views of the beach were breathtaking with magnificent sunrises and beach walks in both directions. We arrived in the middle of Storm Babet and the staff were so friendly and everything was still open to us. The amenities were great and always open for the visitors. It's a perfect location with so many attractions worth visiting. Loch Fleet, Ben Wyvis, Ullapool, beautiful lighthouses and the stacks. And everywhere such beautiful scenery. We absolutely fell in love with this area and will be visiting again for sure.

It’s a great location with a lot to do and see locally, but the park itself is tired and in desperate need of repair and upgrade. The touring facilities are very poor, there are basic shower cubicles but hot water is not a given, nor are cleanliness or toilet paper. The bar and restaurant are as you’d expect (7/10) and the entertainment for young children is adequate (7/10), everything else is lagging somewhat (4/10).The beaches and scenery are beautiful and there are some great villages to explore, not least Dornoch which is only a couple of miles away by road or along the coast on foot.Visit the area, choose somewhere better cared for.

Shambolic abhorrent facilities of your camping without power . Reported soiled left refuse around water facilities and other hygiene issues noting done also to much dog xxxx found near to where pitched tents were so I won't be back closed toilet facilities so during the rain storms and torrents you had to trail a large distance to use any facilities. In scotland asked for local drinks brands to be told its a English company deal with it. Only positive was breakfast when leaving the morning staff. That date were a pleasure to deal with so them I'd give 5 stars 🌟. Great views of the sea location to embo beach is ideal but bit to far out from anywhere.

Fab holiday in a private caravan, team great booking activities. Sarah at the pool was really helpful with me as I am in a wheelchair. The only let down was the amount of activities on offer but I presume that is because it was the end of season as Scottish kids back in school. However, the rest of the UK kids still on holiday; most of offering for younger children. Biggest DISAPPOINTMENT the chippy, playing music with foul language. Kids fish bites all batter and no fish, chips so thin either burnt or a crisp and the burger destroyed on a George Foreman. Beach views great but the pier blocked off… just fix it. Park dismal, falling apart broken swings. Park really needs an injection of money or with dilapidate moreThan already is!

I asked for sea view and ended up by the entertainment, tried sleeping but all you can hear is music, 2nd bedroom when we arrived had a really bad smell coming from it like it’s not been cleaned. We thought we go to the chip shop on site and it’s the worst chip shop we ever had the chips were over cooked tasted horrible and was over priced. And entrainment was ok last night the rest of the days been boring and the bar is over priced but the bar tenders are friendly. My mrs also took our clothes to the laundrette to wash our clothes after when taking out the washing machine was a burning smell so we got back to the caravan a new jumper which only been worn once has a massive whole and burnt but all they say is investigating. They’re not really that much to do on the campsite defo the worst we have visited so far, I even notice after bingo people start slowly leaving.

We got in pretty late on Friday, September 11th, after a long ten-hour drive. We were super excited about our vacation, but things took a really bad turn. The place we walked into was a mess, with dog hair all over and this really strong chemical smell that just made things worse. The place we got was nothing like what we had picked and paid for. It was smaller, and it just looked different. We had booked for six people, but two of us didn't even have bedsheets or pillows to sleep on that night.I complained the next day, and they told me that the place I booked wasn't available anymore because someone else got it. They tried to make up for it by giving me a voucher for food, but honestly, it felt like a joke since I paid a higher price for a reason. They said there was no other place to move us to, which was unbelievable.Furthermore, the person at customer service didn't seem to understand what I was saying. I had to show her proof of what I booked. Although I requested a refund for the price difference I truly think that this was done intentionally, selling what I had booked for a higher price. I had planned this trip and paid everything upfront, so it's disappointing that they couldn't get it right and make sure the place was clean.I even told them that one of our kids had asthma and another had allergies, but they didn't care. The place was dirty and felt gross, so I ended up spending our first day cleaning up.I did my best to make things work for the sake of my children, even though I was unhappy with how everything turned out.At this point, I don't think I will ever consider using Parkdean Resorts again.

Had caravan booked for months in advance but couldn't book any activities in advance for the kids. It rained the whole week so the kids were bored with no activities to do. Paying 5.99 a pint to listen to entertainment that was awful. Ordered via the app waited 15 minutes and no sign of being served, went to the lounge bar only to see the barmaid in corner chatting away to two guys. A large chips at the chippy was almost a fiver but there is nothing large about it. 🤬 No plug in the sink for washing. broken blind in toilet. This was the worst Parkdean experience out of the six Parkdean Resorts we have went on. Definitely our last with this company.

Beautiful van on the sea views. Clean and comfortable with veranda. Two bedroom. Grannies is a beautiful site with spectacular beach and views. We even had shooting stars at night.Staff were lovely in all aspects of the site.Swimming pool was great with lots of play balls and hoops and other.Food and drink was fine the fish and chips were lovely plenty chips and a good size fish yes it’s prices are rather high.Entertainment was good slime and tie dying 8.50 a person there was other things. Matt was great. For teenagers not a great deal. But from the noise they made at 2 o’clock in the morning they did find something to do.We used the tennis court which is available. The shop is a little over priced.Tain is not far away with Asda and home bargains. If your travelling from the south it’s easy accessed on the way to grannies. Dornoch has a Chinese and is recommended. As is the tea rooms and the castle hotel.Sea fishing is available for and quite a few on the beach. This is a smaller site than most. And in the Highlands.

Great caravan park with access right onto the really long beach which gives the kids so much space to explore. Good surf for bodyboarding too. Coast restaurant was good menu and speedy service. On site chipper good too. If you’ve got young ones the kids disco and starland express shows in the show bar were hosted by enthusiastic staff which makes such a difference. The pool activities were good too, just make sure you book them a few weeks before you go as they are popular and space is limited. We’re deffo going back.

We camped here and the location was stunning. Only yards from two fantastic beaches. The kids had loads of fun, and being Parkdean there were good facilities and activities on site to keep them occupied. This is our first time up to Grannie's - it won't be our last.

Perfect location for young and old safe beach, swimming pool and club house for activities for the children. If your kid free best to go when the kids are at school but still a lovely peaceful place to walk along the beach .It's also dog friendly site but they're only aloud in the foyer of the on site pub which is a shame if you want to eat .

The park itself and the beaches here are beautiful caravans are well kept and comfortable. I will definitely be going back me and my family loved it . One thing that lets it down massively is the one site chip shop unless they change things massively they actually might kill someone. It's disgusting clean enough but i think they like to reheat from the previous day . Please @parkdean sort this out it's letting the site down

Exceeded our expectations. The caravan was spacious and with the most stunning sea view. The beach was stunning and quiet. We loved it so much that while there we've booked to go back next year and are looking at availability annual leave to try and get a couple of weekends in in-between.

Me and my husband stayed here for 7 nights. I can surely say that it was well worth the 10 hour journey from Birmingham. Lovely views, you could see the sea from our caravan. The beach was lovely and most of the time, we were the only people there. The caravan was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely consider staying again if we’re travelling up to the highlands in the future. I would also recommend to other people.

Just popped in to have a look as traditional family vacation spot in childhood. Nicely laid out statics with space for touring pitches. Right next to an old harbour/pier which creates a lovely swimming area next to beautiful beach.

First day here (7 hour drive) well worth it. Caravan spotless, and staff have been lovely, we're one row back from the sea, in Caravan Seaview 20, the views are priceless, can't wait for tomorrow to start exploring.

I have rarely been in an accommodation that offered such a fantastic view of the sea.The accommodation with sea view is very clean and comfortably furnished. There is everything you need to be able to provide for yourself, stove, refrigerator and cutlery were very clean and neat.Bringing our dog was also no problem. It was very quiet and therefore ideal for relaxing with a view of the sea.

Stayed here for two nights in April. The staff at reception were very friendly. Our pitch had dirty dog poo bag, rubbish and fag ends left by previous people also was not enough room between pitches, not exactly good first impression. Beach is beautiful. Toilets had no loo roll and there were only two showers! Would not like to come here in the height of summer when very busy. The little shop in the arcade which processes tickets closed before the arcade (around 9pm) I found this strange as a lot of parents said they were up early and returning home therefore wouldn't be able to cash the kids tickets in. Some resorted to giving them away. The chip shop was absolutely disgusting thankfully we only bought chips clearly the oil is never changed. We didn't see entertainment. Pub food was decent enough. To be honest there are way better caravan sites out there I won't be returning.

Stayed in 3 bedroom caravan on site for four nights. Excellent accomodation for money paid. North wind blowing cold so had to wrap up well. Reception staff excellent.

Stayed here for a week..Initially was stressful cos of leaky shower room and no Wifi at all but glad they gave us a different caravan.WiFi is not guaranteed and if you are lucky you get a good coverage.Tain is the nearest town for amenities as the Nisa local doesn’t have much.Swimming pool is very small and you get a booking if you book well in advance.Toilets are not so clean.

Cant praise the park or staff enough!!!so friendly & helpful. From reception to the bar & restaurant staff. Entertainment was brilliant something for all ages, from the little ones to the adults. The food was great as well, varied menu, something to suit everyone & i’m a very fussy eater! Food was served hot & quick i an efficient manner straight to our table. As well as a chippy menu to take away in the evenings, while the chip shop is closed. The park shop stocks everything you need & the staff were friendly there too. We blew the trip switch with the toaster one morning & after phoning reception maintenance came within minutes, sorted!! The Caravan was lovely so clean & fresh, very spacious & stylish. Excellent value for money. Been here a couple of times before with grandkids or family & friends, no complaints. Definitely be back!! Soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The main plus here was the staff, they were lovely and friendly. Always greeted with a smile and helpful if you have any questions. They had a comforting family run business feel.Caravan itself was clean and well stocked with expected utensils. Beds and bedding were so comfortable and cosy.Activities may let it down somewhat depending on the age of children. A lot to offer kids up to 5 but not much to interest older kids. Also couldn't book swimming online or on arrival which was disappointing. Caravan park didn't seem particularly busy so this surprised me.Quite a few broken machines in the arcade but fella who runs it is lovely. Chippy was also closed but is still being advertised which is sneaky on Parkdeans end.For info: On arrival at the restaurant I was advised to order food and drinks via the app. To order it at the bar directly would delay service. I assume comes from Covid so understandable. Thankfully it wasn't a long distance back to the caravan for my mobile. This is in the welcome pack but arriving late with hungry kids I didn't read it right away. This is not the same in the showroom. I ordered drinks at night using this and they were never coming. Noticed a large queue at the bar. Went to investigate and it turns out you have to collect your order when in the showroom.Location is beautiful and warm despite being October. Though we did have issues with haar. I'm from a coastal town myself but this was something else. Great for Halloween visitors. Didn't particularly impact our holiday but it did rob us of the beautiful views 3 of the 4 days we were there. Beautiful rock pools by the beach, you can hear the waves crashing day and night. There is much to like about this site but I'm not sure if I'll return. Though my reasons for this are out with Parkdeans control. There's usually a sense of community amongst families on any caravan park I've used previously but this was missing when we were here.At one point I saw adults muscling in, pushing kids off arcade penny machines so they could use them.Normally queuing for anything in Scotland its impolite not to chat to those beside you in the queue. There's also an unspoken rule, you must say hello if you make eye contact when passing. Felt I'd committed a sin when applying these basic rules here!Dog mess everywhere. There are bins all around the park but no one was cleaning up after their dogs. Not sure if the weather was making people grumpy or if isolation means people have forgot how to interact with each other but there wasn't a nice atmosphere amongst guests.

The views are great and we had a nice trip away with family but I’m leaving three stars because the cleanliness of the caravan was not good at all there was a few things but they all add up there was -• McDonald’s wrappers under the bed.• No linen supplied for the beds.• sand on the carpet and worktops.• a large build up of dust on the sideboard.• and kids cereal spilled down the back of the sofa bed along with a wrapper so it was a disappointment to say the least.

We went for the long weekend in August and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for 3 nights and only booked our caravan the day before arriving, the caravan was modern and very clean, no complaints. We were based in the Fairways section, its a good spot. There was a smell of weed in it but Parkdean cant do anything about it but it did go away.We got booked into the pool both days, just 45 minutes at a time but it was enough time for my toddler. He loved the beach and the rockpools too, he was unsure about the evening entertainment though although other children seem to enjoy it. The Sunday night children entertainment was better than Saturdays I know there was issues on Saturday and we were only told about delays. He preferred Sunday as it had a crafts then a proper disco with the mascot but none of that happened on the Saturday, Saturday was a but disorganised. The shop is handy but closes early, restaurant food was Weatherspoon's style so nothing special but it did.Overall, we will be back. Loved it as a child and loved being back, very relaxing, beautiful setting.

We’ve been camping and so have been regular users of the shower block and toilets and washing up facilities. The site itself is in a lovely setting and the play area is good although zip wire currently broken. The beach is lovely. The toilet block is not clean. Someone must be adding paper towels and emptying bins but I noted a plaster that had been left by the sink and it’s still there 3 days later. It’s all pretty grubby. Never seen anyone cleaning. On the way to the washing up area you pass the latrine for chemical toilets and I’m pretty sure a poo has been beside it for a few days now. Wouldn’t rush to come back.

The actual park is okay, kids were happy. The location is good, nice beach and a lovely park onsite. My disappointment came with the actual cleanliness of the park facilities and our caravan. The entertainment room is obviously used mostly in the evening and I understand staff have late nights. However when you need to attend that same function room in the morning for a kids event or meet the crew I would have hoped the room would have been cleaned before hand. As it's not nice arriving with children in the morning and the tables are sticky from last night, the floor needs a good hoover and the chairs are covered in crumbs as well. As for our caravan, (pet friendly so paid more for this) upon arrival we didn't notice the smells, however by morning (once caravan doors were closed over night) the smell of wet dog (not ours) was so intense, and the carpet clearly hadn't been hoovered between guests! the caravan was offered to be hoovered. Which took the hairs yes but not the smell. So the following day the caravan was offered to have the carpet cleaned (which at that moment it was raining so we'd want to be in the caravan) and was told he's need to have wet carrots in the caravan for a few hours till it dries, which may take longer as of current weather. Upon taking the sofa bed out that night the smell, hairs and sand that were actually in the sofa bed was worse then a dog bed itself, we simply closed it and slept on the sofa as was and returned to reception in the morning. Having been there each day at least once to discuss the conditions. We were constantly told there was no other caravan, and on the last day was told 'well if it 's that bad why didn't you leave on day 1'. When you have 3 kids that have been looking forward to their holiday at the caravan for the first time and looking forward to family time together and travelled a fair distance to get there the solution is not oh kids let's pack up and go home because this place is dirty. I understand we may have been an exception, but the servo and responses relating to the cleanliness were just not helpful and never resolved the issues. And considering you pay more to have a pet there I would hope the standards are raised.
