Attadale Gardens
Attadale Gardens are a must-see for visitors to the area, with spectacular views of Skye. Founded by Victorians and further developed over the last forty years by Nicky and Ewen Macpherson, Attadale is an impressive 20 acre site filled with water gardens, ancient paths winding through woodland and rhododendrons, bridges, waterfalls and exotically planted ponds – all featuring a variety of sculptures scattered throughout. Visitors can explore areas such as the sunken garden or peace garden while also admiring huge trunks from ancient rhododendrons in addition to visiting the Japanese Garden or Geodesic Dome filled with ferns. There’s even a polytunnel in Kitchen Garden where plants may be purchased! Children will enjoy searching for sculpture hidden around every corner at Attadale which is conveniently located on A890 between Strathcarron S. Strome South side of Loch Carron or arrive via request stop at Inverness-Kyle line before turning right onto pedestrian gate leading into easy access carpark near main entrance signposted after 200 yards; disabled guests welcome drive up park house wheelchair available upon request too!
