Dundreggan Rewilding Centre
The Dundreggan Rewilding Centre, a world first, will be opening its doors in Spring 2023 at the Dundreggan conservation estate near Loch Ness. All visitors are welcome to learn and discover the unique natural and cultural heritage of Scotland’s Highlands. The centre itself is free-to-access for all, with accessible trails for walkers (including child friendly routes) as well as an events space and cafe on site. Guests can even stay overnight in one of 40 beds available within the accommodation building! The 10 000 acre estate has been rewilded by Trees For Life since 2008 which has led to positive changes such as golden eagles breeding again after 40 years absence – not to mention increases in population levels amongst other native species like black grouse too! With over 4 000 different plants & animals found here it is no wonder that so many people come out looking explore this stunning wild landscape! A large emphasis will be placed upon understanding how human cultures have interacted with nature throughout history both locally & across wider Scotland; therefor displays/interpretation shall feature both English & Gaelic languages alongside being inspired by local Highland culture..
