Glen Affric

Glen Affric is a stunning landscape of native pinewoods, glistening lochs and haunting moorland. It boasts over 30 miles of ancient Caledonian pine woods making it one of the largest in Scotland. Take an enchanting stroll through these pine trees with woodland birds singing around you or look out for ospreys, secretive otters and red-and black-throated divers as they take flight across its terrain. In autumn be inspired by the many colours that come alive while listening to the echoing roar of red deer stags! The best time to visit Glen Affric is all year round with several car parks equipped with picnic tables, two seasonal toilets (one disabled) plus waymarked paths serviced by Rangers – pick up a FCS guidemap too! If camping or accommodation is your thing then head off to nearby Cannich or Tomich where there’s also plenty shops about if needed.
