Lochaber and Lorn Ramblers
The Lochaber and Lorn Ramblers area is one of the best walking areas in the British Isles. It includes Ben Nevis, which is the highest peak in UK, as well as Glen Coe and its surrounding islands like Skye, Mull, Rum and Eigg. Visitors are welcome to join us for walks regardless if they’re members or not! We offer four grades of walk – leisurely, moderate ,moderate +and strenuous- twice a week on Thursdays with alternate days between Saturday/Sunday . Our day trips can include scrambles such as Aonach Eagach ridge situated within Glencoe alongside hillwalks towards Munros (mountains over 3000′ ) located locally around our range; example being Glen Nevis or Mamoresor even more distant ranges like Kintail or Knoydart. Other than these demanding routes we also have Corbetts( mountains from 2500′-3000′) available via Corran Ferry at Ardgour &Ardnamurchan region suitable for everyone who prefers low level strolls along West Highland Way , Great Glenn way etc Apart from this few interesting combination of cruises&walks through loch Etive or nevis exist while Kerrera &Lismore Islands lie close by near Loch Linnhe accessible by ferry ride itself! Another eye catching scene comes up during your journey down fjorded type trip across loch Hourn offering an exciting experience ! Special interest tours organised regularly give you chance to spot rare breed of butterflies/orchids while some others focus on archaeological sites including standing stones fortresses & clearance villages belonging 19th century . Weekend getaways arranged occasionally provide opportunity to discover places further away ;like sky cuillins munros followed by cairngorms torridon glen affric arrochar alps extending into June 2018 Arran tour respectively Anybody who loves nature’s beauty will definitely enjoy their time here once joining us for any kind preplanned activities listed under summer walks programme apart from other training courses held annually related with gps /compass navigation winter skills leaders skill scrambling 1st aid course spread over period ranging single day session till two days long!.
