Speyside Cooperage Visitor Centre
No visit to Speyside is complete without a visit to the Speyside Cooperage, the only cooperage in Britain with a visitor centre. Located at Scotland’s rolling hills, it has been producing some of finest casks from American Oak since 1947. Utilizing traditional methods and tools, many of these barrels remain in Scotland for its whisky making process. With their guided tour you can learn about the lifecycle of a cask and even have hands-on experience by trying out mini casks! To cap off your trip there’s also an all weather picnic area as well as gift shop and coffee shop that you can enjoy afterwards.
