Wild things! Environmental Education in Action

Wild things! is an award winning environmental education charity based in Findhorn, on the Moray Firth in Scotland. We provide inspiring wilderness, nature-based and outdoor learning experiences for all ages and abilities. Since 2003 we have enabled over 13,000 children, young people and adults from Moray, Aberdeenshire and the Highlands to learn from their local natural environment as well as remote wilderness regions of Scotland. The natural world is a truly inspirational place for everyone to gain understanding about our planet; it provides us with so many gifts that can benefit us physically, mentally & spiritually – such as a walk through woods or along the coast. Through Wild Things!’ programmes participants are able to form positive relationships with their surroundings whilst building confidence within themselves by gaining new skills & interests .We also hope they develop pride & privilege towards where they live while recognizing how magnificent nature really is around them – this will hopefully lead into further caring of these resources throughout life afterwards too!
