Route Description Starting from Loch Lochy, the dirt forest road turns to a tarmac surface near the north end of the loch. After a couple of miles it meets up with A82 and there is also a short cycle path that goes around this junction. Going further into the forest after three hilly miles, you come out near Invergarry where there are plenty facilities such as hotels, tea rooms and B&Bs. To go even more north join purpose-built bike path by public phone box which climbs steeply then joins anotherforest road for descent to reach Loch Oich followed by specially built bike path towards Oich Bridge. Then route continues on canal towpath leading right in center of Fort Augustus through five locks entering finally atLoch Ness; though sometimes very hilly but easy along canal towpath with good views throughout journey!
