Burnbank Pottery
This pottery retreat in the picturesque Scottish coastal village of Kingston is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. It is a two-day, all-inclusive course that includes breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as accommodation in a self contained annex with twin bedroom and sitting room. Throughout the day snacks and drinks will be provided. This workshop allows for one or two people to take part so each person can get plenty of 1:1 tuition from Jenny Ebdy who has been involved in pottery since school. She has also had her work featured at various exhibitions around the world. The instruction covers throwing and hand building techniques which gives everyone an opportunity to create their own individual pieces; after drying these works are fired twice before being glazed if necessary – either collected on site or posted out (for additional fee). Burnbank Pottery offers this unique experience during weekends from November 2022 until March 2023 – it costs £440/pp for two nights stay (£490/pp if you choose three night stay) including full days of tuition each time period booked.
