Achnahaird Beach is a stunning crescent of sand in Wester Ross
The bay at Achnahaird has cream-white sand and an ebb-and-flow tide. It can be easily accessed from the road via Altandhu and Achiltibuie. It does however remain relatively untouched compared to other parts of the coastline due to its seclusion.
Found two miles past Achiltibuie, north of Ullapool, visitors must take a short walk over grass hillocks that border the beach before they are able to marvel at Stac Polly mountain range and rock pools on either side. Inverpolly Nature Reserve provides an idyllic habitat for wild cats, pine martens and golden eagles – making it perfect for wildlife enthusiasts!
