Sandwood Bay
Reputedly the most beautiful beach in Britain, Sandwood Bay in Kinlochbervie is a wild and spectacular sight. It features nearly 1.5 miles of wide pink sand that is flanked by cliffs facing straight into the teeth of the North Atlantic Ocean. To its south stands Am Buachaille, an impressive sea stack with huge sand dunes behind it which lead to Sandwood Loch – a freshwater loch full of brown trout. The bay has been deemed one of mainland Britain’s most unspoilt beaches due to its lack road access and remoteness from civilization; however, visitors can take a 4 mile path leading from Blairmore gravel car park which leads to this stunning site as part fhe Sandwood Estate run by John Muir Trust.
