Dunnet Bay is an amazing display of white sand beach with rolling dunes behind it. Spanning for more than two miles, the bay provides a great protection from bad weather and gives people plenty of chances to do activities like sunbathing, swimming or playing some sports on the shoreline. Surfers can also enjoy this location as high winds will make huge waves they could ride on. There are numerous opportunities to spot wildlife at Dunnet Bay such as oystercatchers, eider ducks, curlew and ringed plover so visitors should check out the visitor centre located in north end if they want info about what animals live there. Apart from that shell collectors can find whelks and razor shells just by strolling along its sands which makes a fun activity suitable for all ages!
