With stunning views over Camas Ban, Claigan Coral Beach is a special destination on the Isle of Skye.
This “wee gem” offers visitors a delightful day out with its picturesque scenery. Despite its name, Claigan Coral is not composed of coral, but rather fossilized and sun-bleached algae.
At low tide, visitors can even walk across the bay and explore Lampay tidal island. Access to the beach requires a 4-mile drive along a single-track road from Dunvegan Castle, followed by a mile walk from the small carpark. Please note that this route is not suitable for buses or motorhomes.
